Are there any tackle stores in Dubai that replace treble hooks on lures. I've got like 50-75 lures that have just accumulated over the last 10 years in my family, and they are all in good condition except the hooks. They're all pretty rusty and I really don't enjoy fishing with rusty hooks.

Al Hamour store (04 344 4468) on Beach Road replaced treble hooks on a couple of my lures last week.
They have decent quality VMC hooks, though pricey!
I'm sure some of the ones in Deira, such as Sea Star, would do it for you too.
Or you could invest in a pair of split ring pliers and do it yourself!

You need to go to a shop to replace hooks ?

buy the split rings, but the treble hooks (4x is the best option) & put them on yourself.

You may take a little time for the first couple of hooks...then once you get the hang of it, its pretty quick.

If I had the tool I'd be more than happy to sit down watch tv and replace around 100 hooks =p. But I don't and its extremely time consuming, and getting stabbed by old rusty hooks over and over again is really not fun.

Red......That's a good one!

Kinks.....Just go and get yourself a split ring plier, few split rings and a box(or two or three or more...) of treble hooks of your choice....then you could put some use to the time spent infront of your telly.

Ciao!

Small bits of cork does the trick for me :) No more stabbings by those pesky treble hooks.

Well its done now, used the split ring pliers. Took a bit, but it was worth it.
