Hi

I was pretty impressed with Rob's recent account of his Fujeirah trip and all those dorados. I definitely would like the opportunity of a similar trip.

Is anyone interested in joining together to hire a boat? I would say that 4 people would be the optimum number for a day or half day out of Fujeirah.

I have little experience of this type of fishing so personally thought it might be advantagous to go with someone like OceanActive - possibly in early September? If people show interest then I'll contact Nick to get a price and some advice.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Ocean Active don't work out of Fujairah, you would have to go with East Coast Fishing Charters and Wayne is your man. He can be contacted on +971(0)50 484 9970 or if he doesn't answer then call Peet on +971(0)50 393 8041.

They had 20 Dorado upto 8kg drifting live baits by one tanker last weekend in 2 1/2 hours before they got bored    Anyway keep us informed and count me in as I will be up for it :) I also have 1 more that is up for it also ..... so that leaves 1 more required :)

Hi

The cost of the boat is 1,900 during September - with 4 being the optimum amount (although there's a larger boat that takes 6). I propose a trip on the weekend of either Friday 12th September.

Wayne from East Coast says that they are catching dorado and sailfish but obviously september isnt the best season so nothing's guaranteed.

Please let me know if you are interested. Ian - if it only ends up with 3 i would be happy to do that.

Paul

Just got back from Fujairah today ..... setting out the shop ready for the big opening shortly?

Peet from east coast had 40 Dorado onboard today in one 4 hour trip with four people on board? The smallest fish was around 3kg and the biggest being 8kg?

12th Sept sounds good to me .... the wife is away so need to keep myself occupied :)

Will confirm numbers for you shortly as I don't know the other guy will be here as I have just found out he is going away on the 4th and don't know when he gets back. Will keep you informed ok :)

Hi Casper and Ian (and anyone else who's interested)

I have booked with East Coast for the 12th September 7-11am, going from Fujeirah. I have provisionally said 4 people so if you are interested please confirm asap.

The price is 1750 AED for 4 hours and then if we wish to extend its an extra 150 AED per hour.

All tackle, baits and soft drinks are included - I will send map and full details closer to the time.

looking forward to it!

Hey there Paul... sorry for this but i'm gonna have to drop out. My Mrs had something pre-planned and if i opt for the fishing, i'm gonna have to just stay on in Fujairah and never come back home :-( ...

Next time i guess ... hope you get the required number of people ...

I'm surely on for the next one.

Hey Paul,

No need to send me a map :) Our tackle shop is in the Marina itself :)

I definately have one so that's 3 of us so we just need one more :) I agree 4 is the best way to go ..... more than that and it gets all tight and you don't have such a good day.

Nevermind Casper - we will send you the photos!

Schoolboy error though - you should have combined the fishing trip with a "mini-break' to Fujairah!

So we only need 1 more - cant see that being a problem, Im sure there's someone out there who wants to catch a load of dorado.

Ian - on another point, i've been trying to get hold of a particular Strike Pro lure - the guy from their Taiwan office (www.strikepro.com.tw) emailed me to say he's looking for distribution in UAE - let me know if you're interested for your shop.

Hi Ian

I now have another person for our trip - if your +1 is till on for it that means we have 4 in total. Are we all booked up?

If there was suddenly massive interest we could always book the other boat as well.
